Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our millwork production facility. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing production staff, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of projects, and maintaining quality control standards. You will work closely with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the millwork production team, ensuring all projects are completed on time and meet quality standards.
  • Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure production schedules are adhered to.
  • Train and mentor production staff on safety protocols, equipment operation, and best practices.
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained and operated safely.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure materials are available as needed.
  • Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure products meet design specifications and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to avoid delays or defects.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory guidelines in the workplace.
  • Communicate production updates, challenges, and needs to upper management and other departments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the millwork or woodworking industry.
  • Strong understanding of millwork production processes, tools, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a team and motivate staff to achieve high levels of productivity and quality.
  • Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in custom millwork or cabinetry production.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
