Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Millwork Estimator to join our team. As a Millwork Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of materials, labor, and time required for custom millwork projects. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure that all estimates align with project requirements and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom millwork projects based on drawings, blueprints, and client specifications.
  • Analyze project requirements and develop accurate labor, material, and time estimates.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and clients to ensure project scope and budgets are clearly defined.
  • Source and evaluate material costs, including wood species, hardware, and finishes.
  • Monitor market trends in material costs and labor rates to maintain accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals and participate in bid negotiations with clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, project details, and communication for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Millwork Estimator or in a similar estimating role in the construction or millwork industry.
  • Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and fabrication methods.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with high-end custom millwork projects.
  • Degree or certification in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with project management software.
