Job Description
We are looking for experienced Finish Carpenters to join our team. The Finish Carpenter will be responsible for crafting and installing a wide range of interior wooden fixtures, trim, and detailed woodworking. You will ensure that every project is completed with precision, delivering high-quality finishes in both residential and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, and install trim, moldings, doors, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures.
- Perform detailed woodworking, including the construction and installation of custom furniture, cabinetry, and intricate woodwork.
- Read blueprints, sketches, and construction documents to properly plan work.
- Sand, stain, paint, or apply other finishes to surfaces to meet design specifications.
- Repair or refurbish existing wood structures and elements.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
- Ensure all woodworking is completed to the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues or discrepancies on-site.
- Follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracy in all measurements and cuts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, maintaining focus on high-quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-end custom woodwork and finishes.
- Certification in carpentry or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial carpentry projects.
